Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Graven (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

Graven provides a knowledge management system for software teams. You connect your AI coding agent via the MCP protocol, and the Service stores, enriches, and retrieves decisions, assumptions, constraints, open questions, and lessons learned.

3. Your data

You retain all ownership of the content you store in Graven. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your knowledge entities. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service (storage, enrichment, search, relationship extraction).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to store content that violates applicable law
• Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent authentication
• Reverse-engineer the enrichment pipeline or relationship extraction algorithms
• Resell access to the Service without an Enterprise agreement
• Generate excessive load designed to degrade the Service

5. Plans & billing

The Free plan is available at no cost with usage limits. Paid plans (Pro, Team, Enterprise) are billed monthly. You can downgrade or cancel at any time — changes take effect at the next billing cycle. We will not delete your data immediately upon downgrade, but access to features above your plan tier will be restricted.

6. API & MCP access

Access to the Graven API and MCP server is provided via API keys or OAuth tokens. You are responsible for securing your credentials. We may rate-limit or suspend access if we detect abuse.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided “as is.” We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or AI enrichment inaccuracies. For enterprise SLA requirements, contact us for an Enterprise agreement.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Graven's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect.
